About Bonnie
Originally from Indianapolis Indiana, Bonnie began dancing at age five and performing
professionally at age 12. Since moving to Florida in 1982, she has performed across the
state, as a dancer/singer/actress, including appearances as the opening act for Florida
celebrities G. David Howard, and Lenny Dee and a featured performer in "The Best of
Burlesque" starring Miss Sandy O'Hara. She also produced and starred in "Hooray for
Hollywood," and "Viva Las Vegas!" for Empress Cruise Lines, and provided and choreographed
a line of dancers to Europa Fun Cruz.
An award-winning choreographer in dance and musical theatre. Bonnie continues to work as a
private coach, choreographer and producer for student and professional dancers,theatres,
competitions,fashion runway shows and musical productions. Her 2008 Dance Competition
Group, THE STARDFIRE DANCERS, won the National Championship Title for Adult Small
Groups at the Starpower Competion held at the Dolphin Resort, Disneyworld.
Past choreography credits include works for the Crystal Playhouse Dinner Theater, Peter
Palmer Productions, St. Pete Little Theatre, The Players Of Sarasota, Manatee Players, and
Charlotte Players, Canterbury School, St. Petersburg High School, the John's Pass Seafood
Festival, and both the Empress and Europa Cruise Lines. As a former dance studio owner and
director for 11 years, she was co-sponsor of and events and shows for the Suncoast Dome
Opening Gala, the Junior Olympics Opening Ceremonies, the Worlds Greatest Tap
Assemblage(s), A Disney "Magic Music Days" Performance, and several student Caribbean
Cruise Tours. In September, 2007, she celebrated 25 years as a Dance Educator in Florida!
Currently , she produces and stars in her cabaret shows "Bonnie Gray Cabaret" and
Celebrating Judy- A tribute to the Legendary Judy Garland. She regularly produces and
appears in Local Floor Shows and Variety Shows for "That's Entertainment" and continues
to serve as the choreographer for the " The Best of Burlesque," a position she has held
since 1994. She appears regularly as a nightclub vocalist in the Tampa Bay area with several
local bands and orchestras with and her Duo/Trio Music Teams "Heatwave" and
"Sentimental Journeys."
